“ChipsC² LT” at the International Exhibition SEMICON Taiwan 2025

The Lithuanian semiconductor competence center “ChipsC² LT” will present its newly launched project at the international semiconductor industry exhibition SEMICON Taiwan 2025, taking place on September 8–12, during the opening ceremony of the German Pavilion.
Led by the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) in partnership with Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University (VU), VILNIUS TECH – Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, and Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), this collaborative initiative brings together Lithuania’s leading research institutions in semiconductor technologies.
At the event, dr. Gediminas Račiukaitis, Head of the Department of Laser Technologies at FTMC and coordinator of the project, will deliver a presentation on the potential integration of Lithuania’s semiconductor development and testing infrastructure with advanced laser technologies.
The main objective of “ChipsC² LT” is to foster knowledge exchange between research institutions and industry, building a strong national community of scientists and businesses capable of jointly developing cutting-edge solutions in the semiconductor field. Each consortium partner contributes unique expertise: FTMC in laser technologies and III-V semiconductors, VU in GaN-based materials, VILNIUS TECH in chip design and RF circuits, and KTU in ASICs and MEMS technologies.

Participation in SEMICON Taiwan 2025 provides not only international visibility but also valuable opportunities to establish new partnerships in the rapidly growing East Asian markets. The exhibition is expected to host more than 1200 companies showcasing advanced solutions in chip processing, materials, testing, and automation, and to attract over 100,000 visitors.
